Businesses and community groups are beign urged to register now for South Ribble’s Big Do, the area’s biggest networking event of the year.
South Ribble Borough Council, together with South Ribble Partnership are hosting the free event on Thursday, June 5 from 5.30pm to 8pm, at Samlesbury Hotel, Preston New Road.
It aims to connect businesses, charities, community groups, faith organisations, public sector workers, uniformed services and health and wellbeing providers, operating in the borough.
Guest speakers, including Leyland Trucks managing director Ron Augustyn will be at the event to talk about how apprenticeships and volunteering can benefit organisations, and how to expand network and business contacts. There will also be a marketplace where organisations can make new connections.
Claire Foreman, Chair of South Ribble Partnership, said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for people from all over South Ribble to come together to promote what they do, and to gain helpful tips and advice from others working in the borough.
“Last year’s event was such a success and we saw almost 200 people come along. I’m sure that this year’s event will attract even more, and I’d encourage anyone who is interested to sign up online as soon as they can.”
During the evening the South Ribble Community Awards winners will be announced.
