lt will be thirsty work when one of the biggest events on Preston’s social calendar returns next week.
The Continental’s 16th Beer Festival is back with a bang at the ever-popular venue.
From June 23 to 26, the popular pub will play host to more than 150 cask beers, specialist keg and craft beers, ciders and perrys.
The smokehouse chefs from The Ferret will be serving up BBQ treats, and live music and DJs across the long weekend will keep you moving.
The event, in conjunction with They Eat Culture, continues its larger version of the beer festival with a 9 x 21 metre marquee housing a second beer hall.
That allows them to offer more than 150 ales, speciality kegs and ciders.
Full tasting notes will be available on Continetnal’s website.
To promote a safer and more comfortable environment the South Meadow Lane hostelry is capping the number of guests allowed into the festival.
A minimal door fee of £3 is in place with a £1 discount for CAMRA members off the entry price (from the Conti bar only). Entry on the Sunday is free.
For the first time thefestival has also introduced limited All-Weekend Tickets at £7.
Along with the amazing ale and food on offer, the live music and DJ roster in the outdoor marquee is an ever-popular feature of the festival.
