HomeServe was the only Lancashire company on this year’s top 50 list as well as being the only company to represent the home assistance sector.

Greg Reed, chief marketing officer, HomeServe, said: “For us at HomeServe, being named by Glassdoor as one of the top three best places to work in the UK is really special. Over the last three years, we have been on an incredible journey and have worked tirelessly to create an exceptional culture, one which is based on a really simple philosophy: you take care of your people, they will take care of your customers and the rest will take care of itself.

“Best of all, it’s a culture that every single person in our company is proud to be a part of.”

It said achieving a the top three place had topped a stunning year for the home assistance provider, because as well as reaching 2.2m customers, it was named as one of the top three companies in the country for maintaining a good work/life balance among its workforce.

And earlier this year, HomeServe’s chief executive officer Martin Bennett was named joint winner of the coveted ‘Most People-Focused CEO” award at HR Magazine’s Excellence Awards.
