Preston childcare boss on Investors in People Awards shortlist

The boss of Preston-based Rosy Apple Childcare Ltd/ Little Achievers Nurseries has been shortlisted in the Leader of the Year Category in the second annual Investors in People Awards.

The awards, which received over 400 entries internationally, celebrates the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited businesses.

Winners will be announced at a spectacular awards ceremony and dinner at Tower of London, on June 24.

Sharon Fenton, Managing Director of the childcare business, has been shortlisted in the Leader of the Year category.

She will be joining a select group of individuals shortlisted for the IIP International Awards 2015.

Sharon was shortlisted because she runs nurseries which are number one choices for parents across Lancashire.

She is also committed to staff development and has been pivotal in the setting up of Rosy Apple Training which delivers Early Years workforce development and apprenticeship training across the North West via a new arm to Rosy Apple Childcare.

Sharon acts in a voluntary capacity too to support other businesses in Lancashire.

The 15 Awards categories recognise the accredited organisations that have achieved the highest standards.

Sharon said: “It is a privilege to be shortlisted for this award; a clear indication of the dedication and hard work the team has invested in the business.

“I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to be selected as a finalist for these prestigious awards, especially as I simply do the job I love.

“I have to pinch myself to check it’s real.”
