Lancashire hotel added to star guide

Winner: The Brasserie

Winner: The Brasserie

A Lancashire spa hotel has been added to the Michelin Guide thanks to its first class cuisine.

The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green was opened in August 2011 and the hotel’s restaurant, The Brasserie, has earned the prestigious award.

It is thanks to the efforts of the catering team, led by head chef Michael Noonan, who joined Ribby Hall Village in 2010 after six years with Heathcotes.

Ribby Hall Village operations director Mark Partington said: “It seems the anonymous inspection by Michelin was achieved through our positive TripAdvisor comments, with many guests describing the food served in The Brasserie to be of Michelin standard.

“Michelin picked this up and chose to visit us much sooner than we would have expected and, happily, concluded that we were to be highly recommended.”
