An energy specialist has been using smarter IT systems to help increase its sales conversion rates by 30 per cent.
Kirkham-based Inspired Energy plc, one of the largest energy procurement consultants in the UK, has been working with Smart IT to transform the way it converts its sales leads into new business and galvanises its team.
Using the latest open source enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, the two organisations have devised a new sales management system which improves workflow and helps staff perform better.
“Smart IT was tasked with giving us a new system with a broader range of functionality and the ability to adapt to our changing needs as we grow,” explained Inspired Energy managing director and BIBAs winner Janet Thornton.
“The results have been excellent. We’ve been able to improve our workflow and real time management information so our telesales staff are automatically allocated leads, based on a category and without the frustration of duplication. “
Smart IT has delivered a system which ensures Inspired Energy sales staff have a more accurate pipeline and a fixed number of quality leads and call backs.
It has also been equipped with multi company capabilities which will allow for the alteration and addition of workflow procedures in the future.
Janet adds: “Our new approach has been designed to make life much easier for our teams to concentrate on talking to customers about what the company can do for them. All of this is making a positive contribution to staff morale and an improved working environment.”
