Kirkham-based Inspired Energy has transformed a nearby building into a health and leisure centre for its 120 employees.

The new neighbouring centre features a healthy kitchen and café.

It is also home to an extensive free gym with a fitness suite and weight room where workers can train, exercise, dance and take classes during the day with access to a personal trainer and an optional weight loss and gain program.

There’s even a miniature beauty salon that offers a selection of nail, face, body and tanning treatments for after-work pampering.

The company’s managing director, Janet Thornton, made the decision to invest in the centre to develop and care for her staff’s needs following an increasing level of illnesses, colds and viral infections at the company.

Janet wanted to create the centre to help her staff to feel better, stay on track and in turn help boost their performance professionally.

She said: “Investing in my staff is essential to the company’s success and the purpose of the centre is to promote an encouraging and feel-good mind set among my workforce.”

The company is an expanding and award-winning energy procurement firm which has a growing list of corporate and individual clients throughout the country.
