A development of dozens of new homes in Preston has been completed.
The multi-million pound Ashton Bank scheme has been built by house builder Hollinwood Homes .
The 138 new homes were designed by Lancashire architects Heyes and Company and aimed at families and first-time buyers alike, many of whom have made use of the government’s First Buy and Help to Buy schemes, to help them get on the property ladder.
The development, which is now a sell out, is a mix of one and two bedroom apartments, and two, three and four bedroom houses.
Construction began in May 2011 at the site on Ashton Bank Way and finished ahead of schedule, with many of the properties purchased off-plan, leaving just a few remaining, which have all now been snapped up.
Alongside the houses, which are set in tree lined avenues, there is also new adjacent 10 acre parkland, with walking routes and a woodland glade.
Mark Chadwick, Hollinwood Homes’ residential development director said: “Demand for the new homes at Ashton Bank has been tremendous, and it just goes to show that the right product, in the right location, and the right financial assistance, that buyers can be attracted.
“We pride ourselves in building homes that people want to live in, with more space compared to others on the market, and the feedback we’ve had from buyers is that they have been impressed by the standard of the properties, especially the high specification kitchens and bathrooms.”
