Give Tithebarn jobs to local firms

A Preston business chief has targeted getting Lancashire's construction firms a slice of the city's £700m Tithebarn action as its priority for 2009.

Frank McKenna, the chairman of private sector lobbying group Downtown Preston in Business, said that it will work with developers the Preston Tithebarn Partnership and local building firms to ensure they are equipped to take on part of work for the regeneration.
