Enterprise Europe Network North West is urging business in Lancashire to explore a new pot of funding for innovation.
EEN North West is planning a series of roadshows across the region.
The EU is set to launch Horizon 2020, a multi-billion pound research and development fund designed to create new growth and jobs in Europe.
EENNW innovation adviser Andrew North is keen to work with a range of businesses and organisations to bring some of the money into to the region.
He said: “The North West has a long history of innovation and some truly revolutionary technologies and processes have been developed on our doorstep. Horizon 2020 will give companies the opportunity to take their ideas to the next level.
“The funding will be for projects that are developing future and emerging technologies that can be progressed into a commercial offering.
“It is important companies seek advice at this stage to ensure they do not miss out. “
The next roadshow will be held at Lancaster University on January 23. Additional events are planned and will be listed on the EENNW website.
