A Lancashire company aims to double its staff numbers after securing funding from Rosebud Finance to support the national launch of its new software.
A six-figure package will help Chorley-based Logma Group to increase staff from nine to 20 by the end of 2015.
It hopes to create a new network of resellers throughout the UK, as well as funding a national sales and marketing campaign.
OneFit Software – part of Logma Group – offers growing businesses the type of functionality previously only available in expensive, high-end systems.
The software allows companies to integrate processes, control operations, diversify into new markets and ultimately grow profits.
Rosebud is a finance package supporting Lancashire firms to grow and expand their business. It is managed by Enterprise Ventures, on behalf of Lancashire County Developments Ltd – the county council’s economic development company.
Paul Taberner of Enterprise Ventures said: “OneFit offers small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs, the type of sophisticated systems previously restricted to large corporates.
“Rosebud’s funding will allow the company to develop a network of resellers and take advantage of the gap in the market for this type of enterprise software system.”
Coun Niki Penney, chairman of LCDL, said: “The team over at Logma Group have identified clear plans to grow their business and we’re pleased that Rosebud is able to support them. The aim of Rosebud is to create new jobs and bring new growth to Lancashire.”
The Logma Group, a well-established software company, began development of OneFit five years ago. It identified a gap in the market when Sage announced it would no longer be supporting Sage MMS and Sage Line 100.
The group’s vision was to deliver an affordable enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution and encourage companies to “expect more” from their IT solutions.
As part of its growth plans, OneFit recently appointed Debbie Pettitt as Managing Director. Debbie, who joins founding directors Audrey and Ron Odell, was previously CEO at Lancashire law firm Marsden Rawsthorn.
