Primary school pupils turned construction workers for a day when they helped lay some of the bricks for the first properties at a new Chorley housing development.

Twenty children from Coppull Primary School were invited to Morris Homes’ new Highwood Grange on Clancutt Lane, Coppull, which will have 28 homes once complete.

The year 3 to 6 year pupils were given a tour of the site and were then taught about the construction of the homes and the types of bricks used, following which they were invited to help lay some of the bricks themselves.
