More than 300 tickets have already been sold for the prize-giving ceremony of Lancashire’s premier business awards, the Be Inspired Business Awards.
The BIBAs will take place at the iconic Blackpool Tower on Friday, September 12, with the ceremony being “split” to throw the spotlight on Lancashire’s elite businesses.
The night will kick off with the prize-giving ceremony in the Circus Theatre.
It will be followed by a celebration dinner in the Tower Ballroom with entertainment from leading performers.
The massive event is organised by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
The 2014 competition has also introduced the BIBAs Bootcamp, giving entrants the opportunity to maximise their potential to reach the finals. The BIBAs Bootcamps are free of charge for would-be entrants and take place at the Lancaster University Management School on March 4 and 5 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm
The workshop covers topics such as why to enter the BIBAs, how to maximise exposure through the awards, what the judges are looking for, and how to prepare for the interviews. To secure your place, email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Another innovation is BIBAs judges visiting companies’ premises as part of their bid to pick this year’s winners.
Dr Ellie Hamilton, associate dean for enterprise at Lancaster University Management School and a BIBAs judge for the past five years, said: “By sending judges on tour, the BIBAs is yet again setting the standard for business awards to ensure it truly is the one they all want to win.”
