Accountancy firm Baker Tilly was today opening the doors of its new Preston offices.
Nine partners and around 200 staff will move in to the firm’s new 20,000 sq ft office premises at Bluebell House, close to junction 31a of the M6.
Jill Jones, Baker Tilly’s North West regional managing partner, said explained they the firm chosen Preston. She said: “Strategically, Preston is a great location in the centre of Lancashire which will allow us to continue to provide excellent service to our existing clients and offer local businesses a full service accountancy practice focused on SMEs which has true strength and depth.
“We will be one of the few firms in the area to offer a full range of audit, accountancy, tax, corporate finance, restructuring and business advisory services.”
Jill continued: “We see great potential for Lancashire and we plan to double the size of our current business in the region over the next three years.
“We expect to invest significantly in new talent from around the region so that we can further enhance our services to clients, helping them achieve their business goals as the UK economy picks up.”
Baker Tilly’s other offices in the North West include Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Warrington and Stoke.
Baker Tilly is the trading name of a number of separate legal entities which (in its newly merged form with RSM Tenon Ltd and its trading subsidiaries) will have revenues of £300m a year, over 3,500 partners and staff operating from around 35 offices throughout the UK.
The organisation is the seven largest UK firm of chartered accountants, tax and business advisers to entrepreneurial and growing businesses.
