A Preston charity, that supports people with brain injuries, is celebrating after being named as this year’s Sainsbury’s Preston local charity partner.

Headway, that currently has 600 members, celebrated the year-long partnership, that will raise much needed funds to allow their vital services in the communities of Preston to continue, at a launch at the supermarket

Mayor of Penwortham, Councillor Susan Prynn, who has chosen Headway as one of her charities for the year, was also present.

Liz Bamber Headway Development Officer said: “Life completely changes after acquiring a brain injury for most people and they need support for the rest of their lives.

“We are grateful to Sainsbury’s and their customers for choosing Headway and look forward to working together to help improve life after brain injury for local people.”
