The chairman of the body set up to drive growth in Lancashire’s economy has said it is seeing its key projects go “from strength to strength.”
Edwin Booth, chairman of the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, has said many of its initiatives were now “taking off.”
In his Chairman’s Update, an email newsletter sent to subscribers, he spoke of progress made on Lancashire’s Enterprise Zone, Growing Places Funds and progress with the roll-out of super-fast broadband to businesses in the county.
He said: “It has been a busy time for the LEP over the past few months with many projects taking off and existing ones going from strength to strength.
“We are working closely with businesses, the education sector and the public sector to enable strong economic growth, encouraging investment in the region and future prosperity.”
