The 55th Bilsborrow’s flower show has been hailed a success.
Chairman Margery Stuart praised a ‘good day’ and said they had good entries both in number and quality.
She said: “We had an extremely good day and we had a nice lot of people through and everything seemed to go really well.
“The dahlia section was outstanding.”
She said the number of entries in the 124 classes had been good, particularly in the produce and flowers, but the numbers in the vegetable section were slightly down.
“The children’s vegetable animals were very good and the handicrafts had some good entries too,” said Mrs Stuart.
Prizes were presented by Gladys Bradshaw, who in turn was presented with a basket of flowers by retiring festival queen, Sammy Ho Milner, and the afternoon finished with an auction.
