Mr Bloom, whose real name is Ben Faulks, took to the stage in the centre’s spring garden for a show demonstrating fun ways to encourage children to learn about nature.

And families from across the county had a Bloom-ing marvellous time joining in at the special event.

Andrew Stringer, general manager of St George’s Shopping Centre, said: “Mr Bloom proved to be a real hit with the children at our free event on Saturday and we’re pleased so many people turned out to see him.

“During the school holidays we wanted to make sure families could have some free fun on us and enjoy themselves – and they certainly did.”
