Bird-watching festival has seeds of fun day out

Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust will host the North West Bird Watching Festival on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30.

It is the chance for a day out for people who have an interest in bird watching, photography, conservation or simply enjoy nature.

There will be guest speakers, workshops to learn about photograph manipulation, a range of stands offering clothing, holidays, binoculars and second hand books, and swan feeds at 3pm and 3.30pm when up to a thousand wintering waterfowl will come to feed.

For more information on the event and a detailed list of exhibitors, visit www.wwt.org.uk/martinmere.
