People are being invited to join the world’s biggest wildlife survey alongside volunteers participating in the RSPB big garden bird watch 2014.
Those interested are asked to watch birds in Williamson Park in Lancaster for an hour, and the results will be fed back to the RSPB.
Coun David Smith, cabinet member with responsibility for parks and open spaces, said: “It is without doubt that the natural wealth of wildlife that can be observed in Williamson Park will prove to be a useful source of information for this year’s RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch.
“Thanks must go to all those who have arranged the event which I am sure will be enjoyed by everyone participating and a great success.”
The event is due to take place on Sunday January 26.
Anybody wanting to join in can meet the volunteers at 8am in the Wyresdale Road car park.
The official count will take place from 8.30am to 9.30am.
