Preston is hosting a special pre-Christmas art exhibition to help save young lives in Africa.
Africa Relief Trust (ART), a registered charity supporting grief-stricken regions in Uganda, is staging the event - the first in a series scheduled for the city - at Cable Court, Pittman Way, from today until Friday (10am- 4pm).
All money raised will go towards providing safe water for struggling African children. The exhibition includes paintings from around the world including several works donated by students across Lancashire.
Tony Peers, a voluntary trustee for ART, said: “The premises have been donated by a local businessman for our charitable use and we are now counting on the people of Preston to support in any way they can. This will be the opening exhibition in the series with more to follow early in the New Year, not only in Preston but across other regions too.”
