A suspected arson attack which destroyed a car was today under investigation.
Firefighters were called to an area near the ABS garage and MOT centre in Skeffington Road, Preston, early today.
A car was completely burned out in the incident - and the cause is being treated as suspicious.
In February, firefighters dealt with another suspected arson attack at the same premises which led to temporarily road closures for public safety.
Officers from Preston were called to the scene today shortly after midnight.
A car at the roadside had been deliberately set on fire and a fire engine and crew were mobilised to deal with it.
Firefighters used a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire and informed the police of the suspected arson. There were no casualties.
In another incident, firefighters were called to land near Thompson Street, Preston, at around 11.30pm last night where wooden furniture and mattresses had been set alight.
The blaze is thought to have been caused by fly tippers.
