Appeal for witnesses after ‘vicious’ Christmas Day attack

ROBBERS beat a man unconscious and broke his nose in a Christmas Day attack.

The incident happened at 7pm when the 46-year-old victim left the Cavern pub on Springfield Street in Morecambe.

As the man walked down Albert Road he was attacked by a group of teenagers who beat him unconscious and stole a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone.

Detective Con Trevor Walker, of Lancaster CID said: “This was a vicious and unprovoked assault and I would appeal for anyone who witnessed the assault or who saw a group of young men in the Albert Road area to get in touch.”
