“We tend to support cancer charities because everyone knows someone who has had cancer. My mum passed away from cancer in St Catherine’s last year and my wife is still recovering from having her stomach removed 12 months ago and was cared for at St Cath’s.”
In past years the fundraising group has hosted a Granny pub crawl but this year organisers decided to “spice things up” and change the theme.
The herd of animals started at Dog Inn Pub in mid afternoon before continuing on to The Royal Oak, The Roebuck Inn, The Bay Horse, Dantes Halfway House, The Lord Nelson and The Lay Inn.
“Some were still going in the small hours of the morning,” said Keith.
