Ambulance service opens its doors

North West Ambulance Service is hosting its annual general meeting and open day tomorrow.

It will be held at the trust headquarters in Bolton. The day will begin at 1pm with the AGM followed by the open event, which will begin at 2pm and finish at 4.15pm.

The open day is a free event open to members of the public and will have a wide range of information stalls, practical demonstrations and interactive displays.

There will also be a few of service’s hi-tech vehicles on show.

One of the key aims is to raise awareness of what North West Ambulance Service does as an NHS trust and how it works in partnership with other emergency services and healthcare professionals.

Members of the trust’s community resuscitation team and local community first responders will be present to talk through with guests what happens in a real life emergency situation.

Other emergency and NHS partners will be there to answer any questions. Everyone is welcome to attend both events.
