Plans have been unveiled to create much-needed affordable family homes on a site being earmarked for future housing development by a Lancashire local authority.
Preston-based planning expert De Pol Associates has submitted the outline application to build up to 264 homes on a 14.7 hectare site on the edge of the village of Wesham near Kirkham.
The plan, on behalf of land owners Metacre Ltd, also includes a six hectare biodiversity and open space area which will include a reed bed, water area, amphibian ponds, wild flower grassland, open space and woodland.
The proposed residential development on a site north of Mowbreck Lane will include a variety of housing.
Alexis De Pol, of De Pol Associates, said: “The proposed development is a well thought out plan that will be of great benefit to the local community.”
