Weight Watchers slimmers are currently jumping for joy with their new plans.
Earlier this year Weight Watchers launched SmartPoints and No Count – two more relaxed approaches where slimmers can eat from a list of healthy nutritious and filling foods.
On both plans, members have been encouraged to reduce their sugar and saturated fat intake in line with the latest health guidelines.
As a result, five members of the Longridge and Grimsargh groups have seen excellent results.
Jenni Shoreman, who has been following the No Count Plan, has so far lost 75lbs. Her desire to lose weight has driven her to take part in more activities, regularly taking her young son on bike rides, walking in Beacon Fell and she has even been trampolining.
Elizabeth Thompson has been counting her points on the Weight Watchers App, losing 10st 7lbs. She now enjoys regular dance classes and exercise.
Sarah Shields attends the Grimsargh class on a Wednesday morning with her baby daughter. So far she has lost 83lbs.
Nicky Bayliss, who organises Grimsargh Farmers Market, has lost 6 stone 10 lbs by following the daily counting plan and using her Fitbit step counting device which also links to her Weight Watchers App.
Young mum and student nurse Adele Slater has lost more than 5 stones and loves the freedom Weight Watchers allows, fitting in really well with her busy work/life schedule.
Weight Watchers leader Claire Anderson said: “The success in my classes is just amazing, but it’s not the statistics that make me smile, it’s the smiles on my members’ faces that matter to me. I can see my members changing their lives and becoming the people they really want to be.
“I have six classes now in Longridge and Grimsargh with more than 200 members, all with their own inspiring and motivating stories to share.
“Jenni is an inspiration, when I saw a photo of her trampolining, I was so proud, this is what life is all about – for living.
“When Elizabeth joined my class, she was quiet and seemed to be lacking in self-esteem, but with every pound she lost she seems to rise up in self confidence. She is a truly amazing woman.
“Sarah is a very popular member in our Grimsargh class. Her success inspires other members to keep going and persevere with their weight loss.
“Nicky looks and feels amazing. She regularly walks over 20,000 steps a day and joins in step challenges with other members
“Adele loves the fact that she can keep up with her young son now that she’s lost the weight.”
