The friends and families of the 2006 Red Rose winners pay tribute
X-Factor winner Shayne Ward will wow lucky nominees at this year's celebrity-studded Red Rose Heroes - and for the first time YOU could be there too.
Chart topper Shayne, winner of 2005's X-factor, has confirmed he will entertain the select crowd at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool on Friday December 14.
The event, which is being staged by the Lancashire Evening Post, Rock FM, BBC Radio Lancashire and sponsors Barclays, will honour community heroes who make Lancashire a better place.
And there will be more stars performing on the night, who will be revealed over the coming weeks.
The deadline for nominations is Friday - and this year tickets are on sale to the general public for £40 each with all money raised being donated to three charities - Preston's Women's Refuge (Live in Hope), Help a Local Child and the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

Since then, he has entered the Guinness World Record book for the most downloaded track in one day, received a Brit Award nomination, headlined the X Factor UK tour playing to over 180,000 people and achieved a platinum-selling album.
In November 2006, Shayne released his autobiography My Story and his fourth single - double A-side If That's OK with You/No U Hang Up - reached number two in September 2007.
His second album Breathless is due to be released in December.
Nominations have been coming into the Red Rose Heroes office thick and fast.
But there is still time to put forward that special someone who you think makes the world a better place.
The categories are Red Rose Hero (for heroism in any category), Sports Person, Business Person, Community Group, Volunteer, Parent, Young Person and Teacher.
Shortlisted nominees will be invited to the red tie event with a champagne reception and a three-course dinner.
Winners will be chosen by a judging panel and honoured at the event on December 15.
