A woman was taken to hospital after paperwork caught fire in her home and sparked a blaze.
The woman, thought to be in her 30s, was working in front of a fire at the house in Higher Meadow, Clayton-le-Woods, when the blaze broke out at 3.45am on Saturday.

Fire crews from Bamber Bridge found her trying to put out the fire in her lounge and led her to safety.

She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by ambulance suffering from smoke inhalation.
