A major Preston road ground to a halt after a tractor overturned.
The A583 Riversway was closed for more than two hours after the accident close to the Texaco petrol station.

The vehicle, which was carrying a digger in a trailer, overturned and hit a bridge at around 3.20pm on Friday.

Traffic travelling towards Clifton was severely delayed.

The bridge also suffered from damage and is being assessed by staff at Lancashire County Council's highways department.

No-one was injured but police had to be dispatched to the scene to redirect traffic.
