A man who intimidated residents on an estate and assaulted two police officers has been ordered to behave.
Gareth Jones, 21, of Marl Croft, Penwortham, near Preston, was ordered not to use, or threaten to use, violence against any person who visits or lives on the Kingsfold estate after New Progress Housing obtained an anti-social behaviour injunction.

The order, issued by Preston County Court, Jones from causing nuisance, annoyance, alarm and distress to any resident or lawful visitor to the estate.

District Judge Ian Knifton said: "If you breach any terms of this Injunction Order there will be serious consequences."

Bernie Keenan, for New Progress Housing Association, said: "This will reassure local residents that we are working hard with our partners to take legal action against the perpetrators of anti-social behaviour.

"We are sending out a message this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated by New Progress and the perpetrators of any such behaviour will be dealt with in the appropriate manner by our tenancy enforcement team."
