Police investigate firePolice are investigating after fire engulfed two cars on Field Maple Drive, in Fulwood.
The incident happened at12.30am yesterday. DI Ian Dawson, of Preston Police, said: "Two loud bangs have been heard shortly before the vehicles were set ablaze. We are treating it as suspicious at this time."

Celebration of Lancashire at the HarrisA celebration of all things Lancashire will take place at the Harris Library tomorrow evening. Two-day meeting on redevelopmentThe city council's planning committee is hosting a two-day meeting on October 13 and 14 to discuss plans to redevelop the canal corridor.

Funeral of man found by railway lineThe funeral of the man found dead at the side of a busy Lancashire railway line will take place on Thursday.
Andrew King, 26, from Preston, had been hit by a train on the West Coast Main Line.
His funeral service will take place at Fulwood Methodist Church, Watling Street Road, at 10.30am. The family requests donations to the International Aid Trust or the brain injury charity Headway.
Injured biker taken to RPH A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car on Liverpool Road, at the junction with Howick Cross Lane, in Penwortham
Paramedics were called yesterday morning after reports a motorcyclist had been involved in a collision with a BMW.
The biker was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious. The crash created long delays for traffic.
Love for ducks in GoosnarghShelters for ducks could be built at a Lancashire farm.
Preston Council is considering a planning application for two duck breeding sheds, a duck hatching shed and a mobile home for a farm worker at a farm in Goosnargh Lane, Goosnargh, near Preston.
BMX contest comes to cityBMX riders will be taking part in a national competition in Preston at the weekend.
The British Cycling Federation National BMX Series Round 12 takes place at the Fishwick Recreation Ground BMX track in London Road on Saturday and Sunday.

Village car park chargeUsers of a Ribble Valley village car park are set to be charged for the first time.
Visitors to Chipping Car Park will soon have to fork out for pay-and-display tickets ranging from 40p for an hour to £1.60 for eight.
Twelve-month permits for using the site can also be purchased for £55.

Calls to end texts rip-offA Lancashire MEP has called for mobile phone companies to stop "ripping off" customers who text while abroad.
Labour European politician Gary Titley said: "People are being charged up to 10 times the domestic rate to send a text message in another EU country. They are horrified when they arrive home and open their bill,
"The European Parliament wants the cost of text, data and voice calls slashed – and legislation to back it up."
The call comes after laws were introduced last year to force companies to lower the costs of making phone calls abroad.

Pub charity event gets off to the racesFund-raisers are hosting a night at the races in aid of a Lancashire hospice.
The Farmer's Arms, in Higher Walton, will host the Race Night event on October 18.
As well as an evening of racing, there will also be a chance to win a session in a recording studio and a photo shoot.
The event starts at 8pm at the Higher Walton Road pub and organisers hope to raise £5,000 for St Catherine's in Lostock Hall.
