12ft toilet roll catches fire
Firefighters were called out after a 12ft toilet roll caught fire.
The roll of paper, used to manufacture toilet rolls and which crews estimated was around 8ft wide, was at an industrial premises in Heysham Business Park.
Firefighters were called at around 2.30am on Sunday after the roll caught fire. It is believed hot conditions caused the blaze.
Limber up for 2010

Pictures at an exhibition
A new art exhibition is set to open at a Lancashire museum.
The paintings of Tony Bramham will be on show at the South Ribble Museum and Exhibition Centre, in Church Road, Leyland, from Tuesday January 5.
The exhibition will be open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10.00am to 4pm, and on Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm.

Joel wins scholarship
A catering manager has been awarded a scholarship at a top hotel.
Joel Fagg, 23, of Barton, near Preston, won a stint at The Abode in Manchester, after claiming the Caterer and Hotelkeeper's Acorn Award.
The former Runshaw College hospitality student beat off competition from 11 finalists.
Rare Arctic bird is spotted
Freezing winter weather has attracted a very unusual visitor to part of Lancashire.
The ice and snow which has battered the county in recent weeks has seen a rare Arctic bird land in the Ribble Valley.
Ornithologists have been travelling to the area in a bid to catch a glimpse of the Velvet Scoter, a rare sea duck that breeds in the Arctic.
Celebrate the King's 75th
Tickets are on sale for a show in Preston to celebrate Elvis' 75th birthday.
The Elvis Collection, the 75th Birthday Tour, will be at the Charter Theatre on January 17.

Hands on at the Harris
Free drop-in activities will be held at Preston's Harris Museum on January 16.
Hands on at the Harris takes place from 1.30-3.30pm and children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
Recycle plan
A former masonry factory could become a glass recycling plant. Proposals have been submitted for Westby Brickworks on Annas Road, Westby, near Kirkham.
Conversion plan for shop
A shop will be turned into a restaurant and cafe, if planners agree. Faiseltex Limited, based in Fulwood, Preston, has applied to make changes to the ground and first floors of a property in Market Place, Preston.
Tasty treats

A new art exhibition will start at the Harris Museum on Saturday, January 16. At the Edge: British Art 1950-2000 takes a comprehensive look at British postwar art.

Drunk costs
Preston magistrates have conditionally discharged a drunk and disorderly man.
Scott Malliband, 23, of Ingleton Road, Brookfield, admitted the offence on Church Street.
He must pay £95 costs.
Meter blaze
An electric meter cupboard caused a fire in a Lancashire home.
Two crews were sent to Clough Acre in Chorley at 2.39am on Friday after reports of a blaze.
Knife man fined £160
An Ingol man has been fined £160 for having two kitchen knives in public.
Michael Battersby, 20, of Dalmore Road, also admitted having a snooker ball in a sock. Preston magistrates ordered him to pay £40 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
£50 order for assault
A Preston man has admitted assaulting a woman.
Preston magistrates told Haroon Patel, 38, of Roman Road, Frenchwood, to pay £50 costs. He was conditionally discharged.
Store drinks thief jailed
A shoplifter has been jailed for four weeks. William Appleton, 54, of Grosvenor Street, Avenham, admitted stealing whisky and beer from Morrisons.
Preston magistrates heard he had previous offences.
Ship on crest of a wave
A Fylde restaurant has been given top marks by Taste Lancashire.
The Ship in Elswick, near Kirkham, was given Highest Quality Assured status for its food, use of local produce and customer service.
The award aims to promote excellence in eating out.
Homes plan on agenda
Plans for 70 new homes at Sagar House, Eccleston, will be discussed by Chorley Council's planning committee on January 12.
Old Vicarage revamp hope
Plans for a swimming pool and garages at The Old Vicarage in Churchtown, near Garstang, have been sent to Wyre Council.

Driver was over the drink limit
A motorist has been fined £100 and disqualified from driving for 12 months after admitting drink driving.
Alan Peter King, 60, of South Meadow Lane, Preston, had 47mcg of alcohol in his breath, Preston Magistrates' Court heard.
He was ordered to pay £15 victims' surcharge.
The court ruled if he completes a rehabilitation course the disqualification will be reduced by three months.
Man must pay for broken pane
A man who smashed a woman's windows has been ordered to pay £150 compensation.
David John Brindle, 50, of Brownrigg Road, Preston, was given a six-month conditional discharge when he admitted criminal damage at Preston Magistrates' Court. He was ordered to pay £85 costs.
Thief must behave
A man has been given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months after pleading guilty to stealing power tools from a shed.
Jamie Thomas Abela, 21, of Ainsdale Drive, Ashton-on-Ribble, appeared at Preston Magistrates' Court, where he also admitted possessing cannabis resin. He must pay £50 costs.
Man drunk
A man who admitted being drunk and disorderly in a Preston bank has been fined £30 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Reece William Fowler, 19, of Croston Road, Farington Moss, Leyland, admitted his drunken behaviour in a bank on Church Street.
Race hate
A man who admitted racially aggravated harrassment has been given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
Daniel Colin Delaney, 25, of Burnslack Road, Ribbleton, Preston, was told he must pay £85 costs by Preston's magistrates.
