Protect your children from meningitis virus

Following an increase in the number of cases of mumps and measles, the Meningitis Research Foundation charity is warning that the two viruses can also cause meningitis and encephalitis.
The viral forms of meningitis, although not usually life-threatening, can be serious.

The charity urges parents to ensure their children are protected.

It says the best defence against mumps and measles meningitis is the MMR vaccine.
