Legal proceedings against multi millionaire celebrity Simon Cowell have been called to a halt at a Lancashire magistrates' court.
The 48-year-old had been summonsed to appear before justices at Fleetwood after allegedly failing to give police details about who had been driving his car at the time it was seen committing a road traffic offence.

The car was Cowell's £400,000 Rolls Royce drop head coupe which was being used in Blackpool in January this year during the filming of
Britain's Got Talent at the resort Opera House.

Mr Cowell is a judge in the show.

However, magistrates at Fleetwood were told the case against him were to be discontinued on the basis he had now provided the information
required.

He did not attend court.
