I was there with my 7 year old nephew who now knows 2 new swear words. I was utterly horrified by his outburst and to claim it was 'accidental' is rubbish. He knew what he was doing because he was grinning like an idiot. Not only that, but the switch on started half an hour late leaving children fidgeting and bored and then at 6.20pm they said there was another hour to go before the lights came on. This means people had been stood there for 2 hours. I left at this stage and had to console a very disappointed nephew.

He didn't realise there were kids there?! Well that comment itself just proves how stupid he really is. Christmas lights switch on - of course there's going to be kids there!!

Jess Butterworth, It is people like you that laugh at stuff like this and encourage children to be ill mannered. You'd probably think it's "cool" to get an asbo! paul Danan is hardly a celebrity I certainly wouldn't deem him famous. Christmas Lights? Kids? of course there was kids there. i was there with my 6 year old son and decided to leave before the lights were switched on. So thanks for that Paul, his night was ruined!

My comment was removed because someone was offended by one of the words so now I know how that bald man at the lights feels and its not very nice. My word was only the B word but he used the F word and the C word and maybe the S word but I couldnt hear very well so he is worse and should get sacked from Coronation Street.
