A man accused of killing a self-employed engineer from Lancashire outside a city centre bar will stand trial later this year.
John Wilson, 29, formerly of Riverside, Bamber Bridge, is accused of the manslaughter of Aaron Emery in April.

Mr Emery, 23, of Boegrave Avenue, Lostock Hall, died in the Royal Preston Hospital after an incident outside Browns bar on Glovers Court, Preston.

He was punched once in the head but suffered catastrophic injuries when he banged his head on the ground. He died on the eve of what would have been on his 24th birthday.

Wilson will enter a plea at a further hearing on August 11.

He was remanded on conditional bail.
