An uninsured driver has been banned from driving for 28 days.
Magistrates in Preston also fined John Joseph Jenkinson Carpenter, 20, of Wheel Lane in Pilling, near Garstang, £100, and told him to pay £40 costs and the £15 victim surcharge.

Motorist fined for no cover
A driver caught without insurance has been fined £270 and given six points.
Preston magistrates heard that Rafal Dlugosz, 22, of Mornington Road in Fishwick, Preston, was stopped while driving in New Hall Lane, Preston. He was also fined £35 costs with a £15 victim surcharge.

Woman was speeding
A woman caught speeding has been fined £60.
Moira Winters, 52, of Beachley Road in Ingol, Preston, was also told to pay the £15 victim surcharge and given three points by Preston magistrates. She was caught speeding in London Road, the court heard.

Penalty points for motorist
A speeding driver has been fined £60 and given three points on his licence.
Liam Anthony Darnell, 48, of Edward Street in Bamber Bridge, near Preston, was caught speeding in Blackpool Road, Preston.
He admitted the offence before Preston magistrates and was also ordered to pay the £15 victim surcharge.

Driving too fast costs £175
A driver caught speeding has been fined £175.
Dhruti Patel, 29, of Fulwood Hall Lane in Fulwood, was convicted in his absence and must also pay £60 costs and the £15 victim surcharge.
Magistrates in Preston also gave him three points on his licence.

Penalty points for speeding
A motorist caught speeding on a Preston road has been fined.
Robert Joseph Taylor, 31, of Brook Street in Fulwood, was speeding in a Volkswagen in Blackpool Road.
He was fined £60 by Preston magistrates, who also gave him three penalty points and ordered him to pay the £15 victim surcharge.

Man given night curfew
A man who took a vehicle without permission has been given a community sentence and told he will be electronically monitored.
Damon Anthony Hewitson, 20, of Marl Hill Crescent, Ribbleton, Preston, pleaded guilty to taking a Piaggio moped without the owner's consent.
He was told to observe an eight-week curfew from 7pm to 7am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and from 9.30pm to 7am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Man fined in knife case
A man who admitted carrying a lock knife in public has been fined.
Mark Peter George Weeks, 31, of Herbert Street in Deepdale, pleaded guilty.
Preston magistrates fined him £80 and told him to pay the £15 victim surcharge.

£250 paid to assault victim
A Ribbleton man who pleaded guilty to assault has been given a community order.
Preston magistrates ordered David Drury, 27, of Grange Avenue, to pay £250 to his victim and to attend appointments with the probation service for 12 months.

Lotion thief sent to jail
A thief who stole £560 of suncream from a Preston pharmacy has been jailed.
Sean Singleton Samuel Kellett, 21, of Fylde Road, Preston, pleaded guilty before Preston magistrates following the theft at Lloyds Pharmacy, Deepdale Road.
He was jailed for 150 days.

Work order for car theft
A man who took a Volks-wagen Golf car without the owners' consent has been given a community order.
David Michael Porter, of Ramsey Avenue in Holme Slack, Preston, must carry out 200 hours' unpaid work after admitting the offence before Preston magistrates.
Porter, 21, was also ordered to pay £85 costs.

Obstruction costs man £50
A man was fined £50 for obstructing a police officer.
Dennis Robert Fisher, 36, of Grizedale Crescent in Ribbleton, Preston, pleaded guilty to the offence before magistrates in the city. He was also told to pay £85 costs and the £15 victim surcharge.

150 hours for assault
A man who admitted assault has been given a community order by Preston magistrates.
Thomas John Park, 20, of Alston Street, Ribbleton, Preston must do 150 hours' unpaid work and pay £200 compensation and £85 costs.

Speeder fined
A speeding driver has been fined £60 plus six points. Preston magistrates also told Roger Robert Davey, 42, of Three Nooks, Bamber Bridge, near Preston, to pay £35 costs and the £15 victim surcharge.

Satnav thief
A thief who stole a satellite navigation system and other property worth £200 from a car has been given a community order. Stuart Carl Young, 22, of Longmeanygate, Leyland, must do 80 hours' unpaid work and was ordered to pay £50 by Preston magistrates.
