Homeless man to appear in court

A homeless man has been charged with theft after being arrested at Preston railway station.
Mark Armstrong, 34, of no fixed abode, was arrested in the early hours of Monday after boarding an unlocked Virgin train.

He was taken to Leyland police station for questioning.

He was due at Preston Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.
