Two Lancashire lads will kick off their summer in fine sporting fashion when they volunteer at Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland.
Nick Sherwin, 27, and Matt Robson, 21, will spend six weeks at the football championship finals helping out at a "fan embassy".
Nick, of Plungington, and Matt, of Clayton Brook, will give fans tourist information and will design maps and leaflets to hand out to visitors to help them enjoy the tournament.
They will also work with young people on summer sports schemes and other projects.
And the pair hope to be able to find time watch a few games while they are representing the North West in Europe.
Their visit has been organised by the Preston branch of CSV, a charity which works with disadvantaged people aged 16 to 35.
Matt said: "I've not done a terrible amount of travelling before, so just to go to Vienna for six weeks will be great.
"I'm a big Man United fan and I'm really looking forward to it.
"I got involved with CSV when I did a bit of video editing work for them and then I got offered this trip.
"I hope the volunteering will look really good on my CV.
"I'm thinking of maybe going to do a university course when I get back to get some qualifications."
Matt and Nick are looking for one or two other volunteers to join them on the trip.
Steve Egan, regional volunteer manager at CSV in St Wilfrid Street, said: "The organisers don't have any selection criteria, other than volunteers being 18 to 30.
"Ideally, we're looking for a female but we'll do it on a first come, first served basis."
Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the European Voluntary Service and they will receive an allowance.
