A woman runner had to be rescued and flown to hospital by air ambulance after falling in a Lancashire wood.
The woman suffered arm and leg injuries when she fell in woods between Anglezarke and White Coppice on Saturday afternoon.

She was one of three runners who were taking part in a 10-mile training run.

Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team helped ambulance crews locate the woman before she was evacuated on a stretcher to a nearby helicopter.

She was airlifted by the North West Air Ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital.

17 members of the Mountain Rescue Team were involved in the rescue.
