Two adults and two children fled to safety when their car burst into flames on the M6.
An electrical fault is believed to have started the blaze in the Volvo.

Firefighters were called to the northbound carriageway just before junction 28 at Leyland at 3.41pm on Saturday to find the man, woman and two girls aged around 12 stood at the side of the road.

The car was on the hard shoulder and well alight. No-one was injured.
