A drug dealer has been banned from covering his face under an ASBO which bans him from entering a large part of Preston.
Juan Pablo Ruiz Gavaria has been evicted from his home in Tunbridge Place, Fishwick, and banned from entering Callon, St Matthew's, Farringdon Park, Trees estate, Deepdale and Greenlands.

The Community Gateway Association successfully obtained an immediate possession order and a five-year anti-social behaviour order at Preston Magistrates Court.

The ASBO prevents Gavaria from wearing any item in a public place which obscures his face.

It also stops him from acting, or getting other people to act, in an anti-social manner which may cause distress.

The order forbids Gavaria from carrying a weapon or instrument which is likely to cause someone to believe it could be used as a weapon.

And it specifically prevents him from causing physical harm, assault or intimidation to others, including being in possession of an offensive weapon such as knives or samurai swords.

Sue Roach, community safety manager at Gateway, said: "The successful ASBO was the result of an extensive undercover investigation carried out by both Community Gateway Association and local residents."

Anyone who sees Gavaria breaching the order is asked to call police on 01772 203203.

Where are the details of the drugs charges? Surely a convicted drug dealer should be jailed rather than given an ASBO. Is he a convicted drug dealer?
