A long-serving councillor has died after a long illness.
Lancashire County Council member Keith Tebbs died on Monday, aged 67.

He had represented Thornton Cleveleys since he was elected in 1999.

He was also a member of a variety of committees including the Lancashire Combined Fire Authority and Community and Partnerships.

Conservative leader, Coun Michael Welsh, said: "Keith Tebbs was a fine man, a loyal colleague and a dedicated representative of his constituents.

"He will be very much missed by all of us and our sympathy goes to his wife and daughters as we mourn his passing."

A service will take place at 12pm on Tuesday November 13 at Thornton Parish Church.

The committal service will take place at Carleton Crematorium, Stocks Lane, Blackpool, at 1pm.

Flowers can be sent to JT Byrne Funeral Directors, 85 Victoria Road East, Thornton Cleveleys.
