More than 150 horses and their owners from across the North West converged on Lancashire for an annual championship.
Competitors from as far away as Warrington and Cheshire were at Barton Equestrian Centre, near Preston, for the third annual Lostock Equine Supporters Club Charity Championship Show.

In front of more than 100 spectators, sashes and rosettes were given to winners in 36 different classes split between two arenas. And the event raised £1,000 for World Horse Welfare, an international charity which rehabilitates rescue horses.

Anne Aston, chairman of the Lostock Equine Supporters Club, said: "It went very well. It was very successful and it was a championship show so everyone got sashes as rosettes."

The championships have now raised a total of £6,530 for World Horse Welfare, which has farms across the UK.
