£1,200 helps with community room

Delighted: Residents of Calder Avenue

Delighted: Residents of Calder Avenue

Tenants of Calder Avenue were delighted when they found out that they had been awarded £1,200 from a Lancashire Housing Association.

The Chorley Community Housing (CCH) Neighbourhood Fund has been used to create a community room at the office of their sheltered housing scheme.

They have knocked two small rooms through to create one large room which can now be used for a number of purposes.

Chris Richardson, Neighbourhood Development Officer at CCH said: “The tenants are delighted with the work that has been carried out as a result of funding from the CCH Neighbourhood Fund. The community room opens up many new opportunities and will help to increase social and community activity in the area.”
