Rose - 40 Years of marriage
Tony and Jean Rose, from Penwortham, are celebrating 40 years of wedded bliss. They began courting in 1962 after living in the same road for many years and were married in 1968 at the Sacred Heart Church in Ashton. Tony worked for BAE systems until his retirement 10 years ago and Jean is still working for Lancashire County Council. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. They will celebrate their years together with their family at Sakura Teppanyaki Restaurant.
Drusdale - Jahangir
The marriage of Richard Drysdale and Fozia Jahangir took place in the Registry Office at Croydon, Surrey.
Their reception was held at Le Cassoulet Restaurant in Croydon, and an evening reception at the Tree House, Croydon on Saturday.
Richard, a recruitment consultant, is the only son of Margaret and Ross (deceased) Drysdale, from Preston, and Fozia is the only daughter of Tahira and Sheikh Jahangir, from South London.
They will be living in Croydon after their marriage.
Coulton - 60 years of marriage
Rona and Ken Coulton celebrate 60 years of marriage today.
The couple, who have four daughters and a son, will celebrate at Lea Club with their eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Lucky winner
Brian Marsh, was the lucky winner of a Rohan waterproof jacket kindly donated by Outfit, at the Wildlife Trust's volunteer conference at the University of Central Lancashire.
Brian attended with his wife Lyn, as they are both enthusiastic volunteers at the trust's Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve near Rufford.
Brian called at Outfit's Southport showroom to collect his prize from Phil Whitaker, above left.
Breast Cancer Care charity event at Assembly
Magician Chris Woodworth, from Walton le Dale, kept clubbers entertained at a pink charity event at the Assembly, Lune Street, Preston in support of Breast Cancer Care.
Justin Hodnett, who organised the event said: "We held the night to not only raise money for Breast Cancer but to also raise awareness of the charity itself."
£200 was raised through admission fees and selling pin badges.
Mr Hodnett said: "The magician was fantastic and the DJ was mesmerised."
