Atletico Madrid have slapped a £30m price-tag on Tottenham Hotspur target Diego Forlan, according to reports.
The Daily Star claims that Spurs boss Juande Ramos knows he will have to act swiftly if Dimitar Berbatov is sold to Manchester United.

Former United striker Forlan is one of his main targets, but Ramos won't splash out more than £16m on the 29-year-old Uruguayan, about half of the expected Berbatov fee.

But Ateltico want almost double that for a player they are desperate to keep.

Forlan left United for Villarreal and, after a fantastic season, which saw them lose to Arsenal in the semi-final of the Champions League in 2006, he was sold to Atletico for £15m a year ago.

Atletico Sport Director Jesus Garcia Pitarch has been very clear about selling Forlan.

He said: "We are not interested in this possible operation because Forlan is a key men for our project. Really he is not for sale."
