Former Preston North End manager David Moyes now expects to sign his new five-year contract before Everton's next match at Arsenal on October 18.
The long-running saga of the manager's new terms seemed to be over when the Scot revealed last week that he expected to sign the deal "within days".

But a few minor details are still be finalised and Moyes said: "The contract is still with the lawyers."

Everton would hope the situation can be cleared up ahead of the trip to the Emirates Stadium, which would lift the accepted uncertainty over the manager's future.
