Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will not be taking over at Manchester City if current boss Sven-Goran Eriksson leaves as widely expected.
Mourinho, who left Chelsea last summer, has been linked with Inter Milan, Barcelona and Read Madrid.

But he has ruled himself out of managing in the Premiership in the near future.

He is quoted in Wednesday's Manchester Evening News as saying: "Right now, I have one priority: I would like to coach in either the Spanish or Italian championship, as these are the strongest in the world."

Meanwhile, Erikkson was expected to meet Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra in Thailand on Wednesday afternoon to discuss his future.
